If you’re writing about how a function does its job without using prototypes, then go ahead and omit them from your post – but if there are problems with functions because they don’t use prototypes, then mention those too.

For example, “In one instance where I came across an issue due to lack on prototyping..” etcetera. These days it seems like people just do everything.
