I just got back from a trip to an art museum in Italy, and I’m really impressed with the work of several painters. My first stop was the Centro della Materia Scultorica, or Cermaco. It’s about six kilometers from the city center and not very big but it encompasses very large rooms that go on for quite a long time. The area I was interested in was called Cermaco Quadrato and I found it fascinating. The paintings that remain on display are in a beautiful room depicted by a 14th century fresco by Jacopo de’ Siena.
