As most of you know I am not a huge fan of the genre of science fiction films. I like to do my own thing and have my own ideas, but I also find it to be very difficult to watch a film that is really only about science and technology. I feel that a lot of science fiction films are just a very long string of characters and events.

I thought it would be interesting to talk about why I disliked movies like this a lot. It has to do with the way they are set up and the way they are presented. There is a very “sci-fi” feel to the film that is very similar to the feel of movies like The Empire Strikes Back or Independence Day.
